We are pleased to announce the establishment of Computer Go Forum (CGF)
in Japan.   This forum is an academic and non-profit organization to 
promote the development of strong computer go programs by means of 
information exchange and technical discussion among professional 
go players, go researchers, computer go programmers, and computer 
go researchers.    The CGF is an independent organization and
has no relation to the Japan Computer Go Association (JCGA,
President: Takeshiro Yoshikawa).   

Our activities include: 

        1) information exchange related to computer go
        2) fertilization of computer go research environment
	3) support of computer go program development
        4) establishment of computer go rules and tournament legislation
        5) popularization of computer go
        6) group studies in computer aided go learning
        7) any activities that conform to the purpose of this forum
				      
At this moment, we are only able to accept members who can read and
write Japanese.   If you are interested in the CGF, please contact
